You are actually better served, by increasing the size of your source sprites, & then making minor modifications to sharpen their edges, & provide greater detail, based on your now increased number of pixels to work with. Setting aside, the profoundly stupid idea that reducing an image size, until you are forcing the same number of pixels into a frame 20% of original source's size, will result in a better quality image than even a 100% size increase from original source. Yes, your information is highly valued and taken to consideration, but the only reason people tell you something is because youre so blunt and just outright rude. And on pretty much every single one, you start trouble with someone. for a standard sideview battler sheet, 9 x 6 frames, you should make the width a multiple of 9 and the height a multiple of 6. The width/height should be a multiple of the columns/rows of frames in the sheet to avoid uneven frame sizes, e.g. Thereby destroying those details & creating a pixelated image. Jesus, it seems like youre on every RPG Maker MV discussion. Originally posted by Caethyril: Yep, like map character spritesheets you can just make the sheet bigger.

The pixelation you are complaining about from enlarging an image, will still occur if you reduce the image in size especially in the dimensions that you are talking about.īecause, as you reduce the image from an ever larger source, you are compressing an ever increasing number of pixels into the same space. I dont know much about VX Ace but I think you just need to make the sprite sheet twice as tall and RPG will divide the sprites accordingly.
